What's New
Improvements and new features in AML Mate. We ship often, and the founder reads every piece of feedback that shapes this list.
- 2 August 2026Improved
Report prefill, and GST on your invoices
Linking a client on a TTR now carries across their date of birth, ID and address, and the form flags an amount below the $10,000 threshold or one that disagrees with your description. Invoices now show our ABN and break out the GST, so $49 reads as $44.55 plus $4.45, with the price unchanged.
- 25 July 2026New
AI-assisted risk factor review for clients
When you open a client's risk assessment, AML Mate can now suggest the money laundering and terrorism financing risk factors that may apply, each with a reason in plain English drawn from AUSTRAC guidance and, where it can be verified, a quote from the source. You accept or reject each factor, and a deterministic rules engine, not the AI, sets the official rating, so it stays reproducible and audit-ready. The review never sees the client's name, date of birth or ID number, and it tells you when a profile is too thin to rate rather than guessing.
- 22 July 2026New
Import an ASIC extract to prefill beneficial owners
Upload a company client's ASIC current extract and AML Mate reads the directors and shareholders out of it, calculates ownership percentages from the share register, and suggests beneficial owners with anyone at 25% or more preselected. You review and adjust every suggestion before anything is saved. The extract is parsed in memory only: never stored, never sent to any AI, and the import panel shows exactly which $10 ASIC product to buy.

Privacy Pack, new training modules, and a cost calculator
Privacy Pack. Becoming a reporting entity also removed your Privacy Act small business exemption. The new Privacy Pack drafts the four documents you now need (privacy policy, collection notice, data breach plan, retention schedule), prefilled from your setup and built on OAIC guidance, ready to review with your adviser. In every paid plan, or start with the free privacy readiness check.
Training. Three optional elective modules: Tipping-Off, Privacy and Client Data Handling, and Red Flags in Practice. Your required program is unchanged, and completed staff keep their certificates. Certificates now state learning hours and pass mark, so training may be claimable as CPD, subject to your professional body's rules.
Cost calculator. Enter your client numbers and monthly identity checks and the new cost calculator estimates your annual AML Mate cost on each plan, including any per-check extras, and shows which plan fits.

Business verification (KYB) for company and trust clients
Enter a client's ABN or ACN and AML Mate verifies it against the Australian Business Register, keeps the result on file as evidence, and re-checks it monthly, alerting you if the registration lapses. Included on all paid plans, no per-check fees. You'll also notice "Clients & KYC" is now "Clients & CDD": same page, clearer name.
- 23 June 2026Improved
Draft more of your AML/CTF program with AI
- AI can now draft more sections of your program, and drafts format cleanly in the editor and in your exported PDF and Word documents.
- Before you export, the builder flags any empty sections or unfilled placeholders so you never send an incomplete program.
- 21 June 2026Fixed
Send feedback opens reliably
- The in-app Send feedback form now opens centred over the page instead of being clipped inside the sidebar. The founder still reads every message.
- 20 June 2026Improved
More accurate, safer AI across TTR and alerts
- TTR drafting and alert triage now follow the same accuracy and disclaimer standards as SMR generation, so AI assistance is consistent across every report type.
- AI suggestions no longer state facts that are not in your data, and each output carries a clear reminder that your risk level is set by the deterministic engine, not the AI.
